There are two awesome exhibits going on right now in my hometown! At the Mint Museum of Charlotte, both sky-high heels and 60 years worth of haute couture designs (from the museum's own collection) are taking the spotlight in exhibits "The Heights of Fashion: Platform Shoes Then and Now" and "The Art of Affluence: Haute Couture and Luxury Fashions 1947-2007" I personally went to The Art of Affluence last summer while I was home, and it was filled with stunning, inspiring, and definitely drool-worthy pieces, like this Dontatella Versace cocktail number. Guess I'll have to plan another trip back soon to see The Heights of Fashion!
