News to Use

This is always a hot topic in the world of fashion: originality and copyrighting. At first it seems like a no brainer, no one should be able to steal another's work or ideas, but it gets more complicated than that. How do you prove who came up with what first, how do you tell if two designs are substantially different from one another, and what happens economically when less expensive stores such as Forever 21 and Target can no longer work the higher fashion collections into their store product lineups? What happens to the argument of competition in a free market economy?
